DALE HIX CONSTRUCTION 5K RACE
LOCATION: The Dale Hix Construction 5K begins and ends at the Macon County Jr. High School
on the east side of Lafayette, Tennessee. The school is located on Highway 52
exactly 3 miles east of the intersection of Highways 10 and 52. Look for the
banners!
RACE TIME: Race time is 7:30 CDT sharp!

T-SHIRTS: All pre-registered runners will receive an official Makin' Macon
Fit t-shirt.
AWARDS: Overall Male and Female, plus top two males and females in 10 age categories. Award ceremony will be at 9:00.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: The Dale Hix
Construction 5K is on a closed course.
The terrain is flat to gently rolling. This is an out and back course along a
rural and scenic Macon county road. Water stations and split times are provided.
Fruit, fluids, and snacks after the race.
Bring your kids with you to this race! The kids events start at 8:30. This
gives you time to run the 5K race, then let your children participate in the
kids events. At 10:00 we have a kid's fun run for grades K-8. This race is held
on the high school track (which is next door). The kids are divided into age categories and then race
one lap (1/4 mile) around the track. This is becoming a very poplar run.
Everyone gets an award, but the fastest boy and girl in each grade get a trophy!
